news that the girl’s father died at Srebrenica. Over the
course of five days in July 1995, the small town in bosnia
and Herzegovina suffered the worst genocide in europe
since World War ii. Serb forces separated Muslim men
and boys from their families, then systematically
murdered over 7,000 of them in the
surrounding fields. 14 December marks
the end of the bosnian conflict.
