Lower Belvedere Palace
This impressive Baroque palace is set in beautiful landscaped
gardens. The façade is adorned with Ionic columns and statues.
The Orangery
Next door to the Lower Belvedere is
Gallery Guide the handsome Orangery building,
All works on display in the Lower Belvedere and Orangery originally used to shelter tender
are temporary. Exhibitions include traditional and garden plants in winter and now
contemporary painting and sculpture. Pieces are often transformed into an exhibition hall
loaned from galleries and museums worldwide, retaining its original character. It
supplemented by the Belvedere’s own collection. previously housed the Museum
of Austrian Medieval Art but now
has regularly changing temporary
exhibitions. Next to the “White
Cube”, the southern side gallery
