The Magic Gift
On Her birthday, Jenny received a gift: a magic pencil that turned any drawing into reality. In the
evening, in bed, she thought of the sheep grazing the green grass, the shining sun and the birds singing love.
As soon as she put a pencil on the sheet through which her dream was crossing, she saw the light of day
slipping through the shutters of her window. She opened it and what a miracle! No more gray concrete, no
more pollution, no more traffic noise. - Thank you very much, my lucky charm, she said to the director of
her dream. - Everything is to my happiness, my friend. Can't you see it's my dream too? I would like to
become again the tree to which I belonged ... Alas! Very moved, Jenny began to draw the face of her mother
but each time she drew a line, it was erased by a large tear creating a lake on the sheet. So the genie said to
him: -I could only make your dream come true if you stopped crying. Tell me, what could turn your pain
into joy. -Draw me Daddy, I want him to always be there for me. On the sheet, the angelic smile of his
mother springs up from the water, which disappeared serenely when his father appeared at the door of his
room.
