Good Karma
Once there lived three friends in a village. They were very close friends since childhood and were always together through thick and thin. They were
very smart and vibrant young men. However, all three of them could not find a job after their studies. One day, one of them came across an old
monk who visited their village from a town nearby.
The old monk invited him to his monastery for helping him to serve food at a nearby orphanage. He was happy to know about this and immediately
informed his two friends about it. When the second friend agreed and decided to join him, the third, however, mocked at the idea. He felt it to be a
waste of time and energy; instead he intended to watch some movies.
Since the other two friends were unable to convince him, they left for the monastery and decided to leave the third one to spend time as he desires.
The two friends reached the monastery the next day and sought for the monk. They were both given an address at the monastery and were told that
the person they met resides at that address. Once they came to the address they found it was in fact a big company. They sought to meet the person
and the security guard greeted them with a smile and guided them to the office's meeting room. They were advised to wait there.
After a few minutes, they were asked by a lady to go to another office. There they saw the monk whom they met the other day and could learn that he
was the General Manager to that company.
The old man told them that he holds this company and wishes to offer them both a job. He said he had few openings in his company but he preferred
only people with the right attitude. The two friends were surprised but equally delighted with the opportunity that came their way just because they
showed kindness and the right attitude.
Moral: One of the most prominent lessons one can learn from this story is the importance of good karma. When you do good to others, better things come into your life in
unexpected ways.
