notable contribution to Poetry and the Double Cross Award was awarded for outstanding contributions in the
book on Complexion Based Discriminations. They were conferred upon by the Literati Cosmos Society of India.It
has been a rewarding experience to have edited anthologies for Poetry World and an anthology entitled Petals Of
Peace. It has also been a matter of pride to have reviewed several poems on poetry sites like Poetry Review on
Facebook. Various articles, poems and short stories have been written and published in journals like Criterion,
Ruminations, GNOSIS, HellBound Publishing House and International magazines like Immagine and Poessia,
Synchronised Chaos and Guido Gozzano. A poem, The Endangered Tiger was given an honourable mention in the
Guido Gozzano. My poems were read on the John Kavanagh show. An honourindeed !!
Inspirational works: The first anthology, Quintessential Outpourings was a collection of thirty poems published
in 2016. These poems reflect a strong emotive range that encompasses social themes like female infanticide,
terrorism, corruption, exploitation of the marginalized, famine, the burden of childhood to contemporary issues
like complications in the virtual world. Hence, the language covers a wide spectrum evolving from the archaic to
the contemporary. The second book, The Oyster of Love was published in 2018. It is a treasure trove of incredible
poems depicting every nuance of love be it joy, passion, longing or despair.
Failures and successes: The journey called life is not complete without its fair share of success and failure that are
two sides of the same coin. I have always believed that failure is the stepping stone to success. Though one has
faced challenges at every stage, it has never posedan impediment to my aspirations and dreams of a future that could make this world a better one though my
poetic exploits.
Family and Parents: Hailing from an eminent family of educationists, my parents were lecturers at Ewing Christian College, Allahabad. My father was a
doctorate and a pioneer in the field of Psychology, collaborating with the Education Testing Service, Princeton, New Jersey. My mother was a doctorate in
Literature and had represented Indian women at several National and International Conferences, hence the genetic traits only serve as a testimony to continue
this illustrious legacy! The city beautiful Chandigarhis now my place of residence as I live with a caring husband who has a real estate business and my two
wonderful teenaged sons.
My Contribution to Eradicate Inhumanity from our Society:
The human core has been beset with mindsets that have been regressive at times and this has to be altered, hence in my own humble way there has been a sincere
effort to address various social problems that plague society at large. The intent is not to denigrate any person or community but to build an awareness of the
humane spirit that lies dormant in every human being. As a teacher and educationist there has been a constant resolve to address all issues especially the emotional
quotient that students face on a constant basis and hence strive to solve them with the interest of the students as the primary focus. A believer in humanity, one
makes a sincere effort to address social issues in day to day life as well as in my poetic pursuits. Social obligations have been the focal point in my life and this has
been amply reflected in my activeinvolvement in workshops and forums on issues related to autism and cancer awareness.

The perceptions of human life stem from personal experiences and encapsulates varied themes like female infanticide, terrorism, corruption and
exploitation of the marginalized. As an educationist and facilitator, there is a deep resolve and renewed purpose to contribute and fulfill my social
obligations. These would include how to build a progressive nation by imparting the right values among the youth of India. As a facilitator, nostone
should be left unturned in creating a positive and congenial environment that could enhance the value of the teaching learning process. Donning many a
hat comes easy to me be it creative writing, painting or just singing. The onlyaim beingto create a positive environment that might prove to be conducive to
everyone.
B) When did you find sense of Depersonalization in you and how:
Life has a far more profound meaning than just a superficial one. Being a teacher, it dawned on me that there were far more serious issues to resolve than just
the petty day to day ones. The 'I' has been replaced by a “We” and this has brought me to the main purpose of life where my expectations and aims no
longer take precedence. The focal point being to broaden my horizons that include a wider spectrum anda strong commitment to express my words that
can be heard and make a difference. There has been a concerted decision to perceive issues more objectively rather than being too parochial or focused on
myself.
C) How and what talents did you use in spreading love, peace and humanity?
Despite the challenges that emerge, a strong positive attitude must exist and all endeavours must be channelized to beable to spread love, peace and
humanity on a wider platform. At the workplace, a patient hearing, a helping hand or a motivational talk whenever required reaps rich dividend. The
only way to connect is through my poems that I'm confident do inspire the youth and form the medium which impact people's lives.
D) Do you feel you have a sense of making people happy? If yes, how can you?
It has been uppermost in my mind to reflect in my teaching style a compassionate and humane persona. Be it a classroom or a playground or just any other
place, its imperative to radiate happiness and love with a cheerful disposition. Happiness is a state of mind that has to be constantly nurtured and
developed. My aim is to bring joy in other people's lives by generating a hope where the world is filled with love and happiness. A firm believer in the
power of happiness, as its really is in our hands to exude a radiant energy coupled with a zest to motivate all who come in contact.
E) Your personal views in building a perfect human being in you?
The first and foremost duty of every human being is to be humane. As imparted by my parents, the virtues of humility and sincerity form the cornerstone
of human existence that were instilled right from the beginning that also included being imparted the right values. Now as a facilitator and educationist, I
am encouraged to return the favour by being compassionate to others and making them independent thinkers and human beings possessing the right
values. Virtues of patience, positivity, kindness and humility have been continuously inculcated in the next generation to understand that civilization
forms the bedrock of human existence. Building bridges has been the focus rather than walls that divide people from each other.
