Modern Poetry today can be written on almost on any themes on life. The modern poets find inspirations from various sources, from their own life as well as from
our own society or community Honorable Poet Swapna Behera has accepted the theory of simple environmental subjects for her poetic compositions which are
realistic and highly poetic in its depiction. The most modern poetry of this century is marked with a note of realism. Realism in modern poetry was the product
of a reaction against the pseudo-romanticism of the last century over and above the influence of science.

Swapna Behera born on 1955 is a trilingual contemporary poet, author, educationist, critic, translator, reviewer, social worker and editor from Odisha ,India.
Her stories ,poems and articles are widely published in Newspapers, International journals ,magazines Anthologies and ezines and translated in different
languages. Swapna Behera is a former teacher for more than three decades i .e at the Mont Fort School from 1984-1995 and a teacher in Kendriya Vidyalayas,
from 1995-2015 under Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan ,an Autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development ,Government of
India . She has received several outstanding recognitions for teaching excellence . She retired as a teacher from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan , in July 2015.

Educational and Professional Trainings : She is a post graduate in History with a Bachelor's degree in Education.(M.A.BED) . She was a trained teacher in
substance Abuse Prevention Education from Shalom Rehabilitation Centre Chumkedima Nagaland 2001. She is a trained teacher and participated in the
Swapna Behera Social Activities: She was the YUVA JAGAT artist of All India Radio Cuttack. She was the Judge of the International INT'L Essay Competition, Nigeria 2017.
