Dr. Tejaswini Deepak Patil Dange There's a reason for me to choose social work. Answering a call to service changes more than one life—it has a ripple effect,
first touching one person and eventually an entire community. Social work and the society in general is dedicated to a serious analysis of the relationship between
social work, social policy, the Governmental and economic forces.
Dr. Tejaswini Deepak Patil Dange
I, Dr. Tejaswini Deepak Patil Dange, would like to introduce myself as a grand-daughter of two Indian Freedom-fighters, namely Prof. Madhavrao Shripatrao
Bhosale, my maternal grandfather who joined Mahatma Gandhi's Dandi Yatra and fought until 15th August 1947, the Independence of India; and Shri
Pandurang Dnyanoba Jadhav, my paternal grandfather who contributed in Bilashi Satyagraha, in Sangli district, Maharashtra. My maternal grandfather told
many stories he had lived and had been contemporary, too. I feel that the strong nationalist in me is the inheritance of these two important personalities in my
life.
I believe in extending the helping hand towards anyone regardless of caste, creed or nationality. In this regard, I feel myself blessed with the support of revered
personalities like Padma Sri Dr. Jayanta Mahapatra, Odisha and Dr. B.P. Bhatnagar, Former Vice- Chancellor of Udaipur University, Udaipur, Rajasthan and
Dr. Mangal Mishra, Indore.
Education: I did my graduation in Balasaheb Desai College, Patan with English as my special subject. My post-graduation was done in Department of English,
Shivaji University, Kolhapur in 1992 where I continued for my research degree of Master of Philosophy (M. Phil. 1995). Later, in 2015, I completed my research
degree of Ph. D. working on the poetry of A. K. Ramanujan and Jayanta Mahapatra, both eminent Indian poets writing in English. A reference book on A.K.
Ramanujan's poetry anthology Relations and Jayanta Mahapatra's Relationship has been published by Shubham Publication, Kanpur under the title of
“Relations and Relationship” in 2016. To pace with the present era of computers, I've completed a Diploma in Computer Education, viz. C-DAC.
Career: As an assistant Professor in Senior college, I represent third generation after my grandfather and father. In 1992, I joined Mahavir Mahavidyalaya,
Kolhapur (B.A.B.Ed Unit) as a lecturer in English. Later, in 1993, I joined Kasegaon Education Society's Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Islampur from where I was
transferred to Arts and Commerce College, Kasegaon in 1998. Thereafter, I was transferred to Arts and Commerce College, Ashta in 2007. Presently, I'm
working in Smt. Kusumtai Rajarambapu Patil Kanya Mahavidyalaya, Islampur (previous Kanya Mahavidyalaya) as an Asst. Professor in English. As a PG
teacher, I've worked in S.G.M. College, Karad (Dist. Satara), Arts and Commerce College, Ashta (Dist. Sangli), Balwant College, Vita (Dist. Sangli) and
Mahavir Mahavidyalaya, Kolhapur (Dist. Kolhapur).
