Good poetry is often described as the literature in metrical form or compositions forming rhythmic lines. It has a set of specific features that differentiate it
from other forms of literature. It is not necessary that all the elements should be employed in every poem that is penned. However, the presence of at least
two of these elements is noted in most poems. However, a blank verse does have a set rhythm and meter pattern that is followed. Now, a "free verse" will
neither have rhyme or rhythm, but these verses are usually luxurious in other elements like metaphors, symbols and spectacular word images. So, poetry
writing offers a lot of scope for experimentation when it comes to choosing literary elements or devices as per the needs of the poet “ says, honorable poet

Personal Profile

Ruth Calope Alfar grew up in a mining community which played a vital role in shaping who she is today. In that mining community, almost everybody was on a

first name basis as they moved about in the same circle. She was a privileged lot, with plenty of perks and privileges accorded to her and so the place still holds a
special place in her hearts. She is one of the lucky few who is still currently residing there, and at the same time working at the mines. She has the heart of a miner
through and through. She has come to have developed a special focus on the environment, because in the community where she grew up, lots of effort had been
done to preserve and conserve the natural resources. Let's say, they have a kind of pact with Mother Nature to give back a hundredfold what has been taken away.

Persona

She is an introvert and this may be due to the fact that she is the only child. As such, she loves her own company and she was quite content to be surrounded by
books. She loves them and she can't live without them. She has taken quite a fancy to reading classic English poetry of famous poets. And that was what started it
all: her journey into the realm of Poetry.

Achievements
Being a mother of three is her greatest achievement and nothing can compare with the satisfaction of watching them grow to be the best that they can be. Being an
author of 2 poetry books makes she is inspired to write more so that she may be able to leave a footprint, a legacy in the world of literature. She is a proud member
of Toastmasters International, a group of speakers and speech makers who are totally devoted to the craft of refining and elevating the art of delivering a speech.
She has won third place in an Area contest for Speech Evaluation Category and that is a great achievement for her. By profession, she is an accountant,
specializing in the field of Capital Expenditures and Budget. She is also a Financial Analyst. She works extensively with other departments and gives them sound
advice on how to lower their cost.
Inspirational Works

Having written 2 poetry books so far, and having them published and sold, she has come to the realization that she needs to write more, particularly on topics that
might have a global impact. Potential topics which she might touch on may include issues about women, the environment and local history.

Failures and Successes

She may have failed at some various points in her life, like having to change courses from a medical field to the business field. That can't be considered a failure,
