Personal Profile: Dr. Paramita Mukherjee Mullick is a scientist by education, educationist by profession and author and poet by passion. A National Scholar with
Mukherjee Mullick a Ph. D. in Genetic Toxicology with the coveted CSIR scholarship from the Government of India. She has been a School teacher, then a lecturer in a college and
then a principal of a Junior College. At present she is associated with the National Accreditation Board of Education and Training (NABET) and helps in the
quality management of schools all over India.
Persona: I believe that the ultimate of everything is happiness. So I love spreading happiness around. I always encourage everybody to see the positive side of
things so I am a great optimist. I like symmetry and always organise events, things and life in a very systematic way. I am passionate but not impulsive. I have
always remembered two things which my parents taught when I was a child and these two have helped me immensely to have a good life. My father used to say
“Never be afraid of anything or anybody if you are not in the wrong” and my mother used to say “Only two things will never leave you, your education and your
talents”.
Achievements
My qualifications and numerous scientific national and international papers. I have published five books, Stories from Fantasyland, Life- A Collection of Poems,
Paradigm, The Maverick's Journey and The Sun through my Wine Glass. My poems have been published in more than 150 anthologies. Some poems of mine
have been translated in more than 14 languages. I have had poetry events all around in India and abroad including a solo event in Oxford, England. I have
received few awards from well known literary organisations in India like Sahitya Shree, Sahityan Samman, Sahitya Bhushan, Poetess of Elegance 2019 and an
award for outstanding contribution in contemporary poetry. I am the executive editor of Kafla Intercontinental, an international journal of literature, art and
culture. I have been the executive director of the 12th International Writers' Festival in 2018 in Indore. I coordinated the World Festival of Poetry 2019 in
Mumbai. I have started the Mumbai Chapter of Intercultural Poetry and Performance Library.
Inspirational Works
I have made thousands of school and college students and professionals as well as house wives confident and made them lead a happy life with my personality
development and life skill trainings and am still doing so. I have had more than 500 workshops of the same. I did a series of competitions of poetry in several
schools in Mumbai with the theme “Inculcation of moral values in young minds through poetry” 2018.I am doing a series of such competitions this year(2019)
in BMC schools for underprivileged children. I have done several poetry events for senior citizens to bring out the creativity in them. I write regularly in
magazines about the conservation of environment.
Failures and Successes
Failures are the pillar of success so every failure has made me more and more successful. My motto in life is “Every failure or obstacle ensures that your end result is
wonderful” since with every failure I have gone towards my goal with more strength.
Family and Parents
I have a teenage daughter who is very creative and had written a novel when 14 years and a very supportive husband who is a well respected lawyer and a pragmatic
