Dr. Purnima was Born on 25th October, 1989 in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand, She is currently working as an Assistant Professor of English in Vasant Kanya
Mahavidylaya, Kamachha. She is poet and dreamer. She lives her life on her own terms, an aesthete she loves art and music. Her love for literarture started at a
very young age and she would lose herself in the volumes of Enid Blyton and Dickens. Growing up she read authors like Sidney Sheldon and Dan Brown and the
world of fiction offered her transport from mundane life. She feels if you feel sad read a good book and you will forget what you were initially worried about.
Initially a shy person who would feel her knees shaking on the thought of addressing an audience she gathered courage to speak for the first time in her school
elocution of Std.10 and won the first prize in Hindi Class Elocution. A small feat at school level but that gave her the belief in herself. Gathering courage, she
found an affinity for the stage and applaud of audience which encouraged her to participate and win at various events at college and University level including
debate, elocution, poetry recitation, expressions, skit, short-play, quiz and a lot more. She likes to experiment and tries her hands at new forms of writing. She
loves to write and share her quotes on apps like Nojoto and Yourquote. Being a daughter of a Physical Education teacher she has love for sports too. She loved to

play kabaddi and Kho-Kho in her school days and is associated with her college's Sports Committee and loves conducting Chess Tournament of the Annual
Sports Day. Being passionate for the stage and creative fields she tried her hands on fields as diverse as choreography, theatre performances, short-story writing,
poetry writing and recital and translation. All that she learned about art, literature and life she didn't want to keep to herself. She always aspired to be a teacher like
her father and impart it to her students. Interaction with students give her a new warmth and courage. She believes teaching is the best learning process where you
learn something new everyday while interacting with young minds . Her elder sister Dr. Vinamrata who is currently working as Assistant Professor in
Department of English, Bheemrao Ambedkar University, Bihar is her friend, confederate and mentor. One year senior to her they shared an unbreakable bond
which is reflected in their collaboration as authors in the upcoming book of poems, Mirari. Dr. Bina Singh herself an esteemed poet in her Preface to Mirari
compares the two sisters to Wordsworth and Coleridge. She writes, "As claimed by the peerless romantic bard William Wordsworth, that, poet like the scientist is
a seeker of truth, truth beyond temporal facts, finds a justified platform in the lyrical cravings of Purnima and Vinamrata. Their joint venture reminds The
Lyrical Ballads composed by the two poetic geniuses, William Wordsworth and Samuel Taylor Coleridge....Mirari carries us into the esoteric and mystical
realms of of womanhood. The two authors keep the readers enthused with their ideas and thoughts. They clearly expose the travails of womanhood in everyday
life and the unfulfilled expectations of what has become an incomplete life"

Dr. Purnima's Ph.D. dissertation is on “Consumer Capitalism and Nature on the Fiction of Ron Rash” from Banaras Hindu University. As an academician and
researcher she has written several articles which got published in various reputed International Journals and books. Her short -story "In Love with a Book-
Worm" got published with soflay.com.. She is also a member of Editorial committee of the website phaniswarnathrenu.com. The website started in the memory
of prominent Hindi writer Phanishwar Nath Renu has now diversified itself for literature lovers where young poets and author can publish their poems and
articles online. A lover of beauty and nature she was deeply moved by landscape-mysticism and eco-spirituality while she was working on her thesis. She voices
her concern for the conservation of nature in several of her papers published in various reputed International journals and books. Living in Kashi, the land of
spirituality she has also delved deep into mysticism and spirituality and is also a member of Indian Section of Theosophical Society. She started writing poems in
Hindi and English from her college days. Her poems have appeared In Atunis and her poem “Unearthly” was published in the volume, Leaves of the Poet Tree,
Season Two.
Muhammad Shanazar (Pakistan) who is Recipient of Poet of Universal Inspiration, World Icon of Peace, Cross for Peace, Cross for Literature, World Laureate
in Literature 2017… wrote the preface for Purnima's first book In Search of (Me)aning: Poetry by Purnima writes-
