             Sub-letting

             Doesn’t Pay

                  ohammed Rohim and Afsana Begum
Millegally sublet their 2-bedroom flat in
Maidstone House for £400 per month while
also claiming Housing Benefit. When caught
out, they tried to cover it up by threatening
the people they had let the property to.

A High Court Judge gave Poplar HARCA
possession of the property, and it will now be
re-let to a family needing a home. The Judge
criticised the pair and family members for
‘lying under caution, verifying false witness
            statements and…lying under oath’.
