Carlisle Bicentennial 2022
The Carlisle Township Board of Trustees are excited to an- March 7-13, 2021
nounce the formation of a residents committee for both current
and former residents of the township to help plan the town-
ship’s bicentennial celebration in 2022. Next year will be the
200th anniversary of the township’s organizing. If any current
or former resident would like to volunteer, please email the
township trustees at carlisletwp@windstream.net and include
“CT Bicentennial” in the subject line. Please include your
name, address, email address and anything you may also like
to do to help. The committee will also be looking for old pho-
tographs of the township, so if you have any or know anybody
who would like to share them, please include that as a com-
ment. The first organization meeting is expected to be held in
late March this year with a date/time to be determined.
Teeball/Softball/Baseball registration
2021 registration is officially open for Teeball, Softball and
Baseball! All registrations for Grafton Hot Stove and Midview
Youth Baseball are centralized to this one location (https://

SWCD Scholarship available
The Joel McRoberts Memorial Scholarship is offered by the
Lorain SWCD in the amount of $1,000. High school seniors
(Lorain County residents) who enroll in an agricultural or nat-
ural resource related two- or four-year course of study are eli-
gible to apply. Applications are available on our website, from
your high school guidance counselor or by calling the office.
The application deadline is April 16, 2021.
A “Continuing Education” scholarship is also available.
The amount and requirements are the same, although appli-
cations are only available on the website or by contacting the
office. The application deadline is July 3, 2021.
Herb Guild Scholarship
The Herb Guild Garden Club is offering a one-time schol-
arship available to graduating high school seniors, as well as

a resident of the state of Ohio and a U. S. citizen (International
