HOCKEY
This year's hockey team had the
potential to produce a fine record,
but very limited practice time during
the second half of the season kept
the Quakers from living up to this
potential. The team was led by cap
tain Skip Gorman, high scorer Larry
Tingley, and Fred Odoardi.
After five games the prospects
for a winning season looked good as
the team rolled up four victories
against one loss. Then the roof fell in
on the M.B. pucksters; Coach Pratt's
sextet lost five consecutive games.
Finally, on February 22, M.B.
snapped out of the doldrums with
a tie. The team's record of never los
ing its last game of the season was
sustained as the Quakers defeated
Pomfret, 5-2.
The season officially ended on
March 3 with the traditional lasagna
dinner at Coach Pratt's home. Junior
Bill Roland was elected captain for
the I 968 campaign.
