WRESTLING
The Moses Brown Wrestlers finished their third con
secutive season in the red. The 1-8 record, however,
does not accurately show the effort, ability, and im
provement that were a part of this 1967 team.
The season began with some unfortunate losses, but
there was gradual improvement, and at the close of
the season the scores were more favorable, with a final
win against Webster.
The most efficient members of the club were the
light weights. Twactman and Goodman went on to
place 2nd and 3rd respectively in the NEPS Champion
ships at Munson Academy. Santorella, Mignacca, Jones,
Salvatore, Webb, and Gertz were the other members
of the under 133 lb. mat-men.
The heavies of the club were Lannigan, LaFazia,
Carey, Roberts, Dower, Newell, Heindel and Smets,
and innumerable irregulars recruited for free-lance
matches during the year.
Many excellent individual showings were seen, and
many of the boys gained experience. The season stimu
lated much spirit for the team throughout the school,
and a lot of interest was created for potential wrestlers
