GREGORY PRESCOTT SANFORD
Cross Country, VI; Delphian, V; Football, Varsity, V; Lacrosse, Varsity, IV;
Letter, V; Quaker, V; Swimming, Letter, IV; Winter Track, Varsity, V; Letter,
VI; Spring Track, Letter, VI.
Greg Sanford, although posing as a quiet, mild-mannered prep
in class, reveals his true identity as "Doo-Doo," or "Holly" on
the corridors of the boarding department. There even a casual
observer can find him acting as a salesman for contrabands goods
or else suavely phoning a comely miss. And at 10:15, you'll see
him furiously scrawling some name or other on an infinite pile of
I.O.U.'s. at the boarder snack bar. Greg has been equally ardent
on the athletic field; he won his junior year letters in Winter
Track and Lacrosse, and in his senior year varsity status in Winter
and Spring Track.
While Greg lumbers off into the west, we will remember him
as proof that silence is as golden as California sunshine.
LINCOLN DAVID SCOTT
Baseball, III, Letter, IV, V, VI; Basketball, III, IV; Broadcasting Club, V; Chess
Club, V, VI; Flying Club, V; Football, III, IV, Letter, V, VI; Mosaic, VI; Quaker,
V; Radio Club, V; Winter Track, Letter, V, VI; U.N. Club, V.
David Scott came to Moses Brown in his freshman year and
quickly established himself as an athlete. He became a very effec
tive passing quarterback, occasionally even a kicker, for the foot
ball team. He tried high jumping, making up for his lack of form
with the spring of a kangaroo. A veteran of some unnamed sum
mer baseball camp, he can play any position on the diamond.
Generally Dave is serious and controlled, but this is part of his
slashing humor. Last year as a member of the never-sleep club,
he would often overturn people's beds, especially D.L.P's, and c
have sessions of the bovine nature we have come to expect from
"Potty."
ROGER STUART SILVERSTEIN
Chess Club, V, VI; Glee Club, V; Hockey, III, IV; Letter, V, VI; Lacrosse
III, Letter, IV, V, VI; Proscenium Club, VI; Quaker, V, VI; Soccer, V, Letter,
VI; Tennis, III, IV; Sailing Club, IV, V, Vice-Commodore, VI; Outing Club,
IV, V, VI.
Rog is a thirteen year fighter of the M.B. wars, and every inch
a veteran. His many trademarks— his painfully slow, shuffling gait,
his infinite collection of silk ties, his slightly sadistic smile, and his
perpetually semi-glazed eyes— make Roger easily distinguishable
from afar. Rog's skills on the athletic field are also distinguished. It
has been rumored that Rog is the only two-year hockey veteran
who is unable to skate, but his goal-getting record indicates other
wise. Roger is also a lacrosse stalwart, and has won three letters
on the playing fields of Long, Meddaugh, and Harrison. Roger has
emerged apparently unscathed from his thirteen-year stint here,
and we are sure that the Vice-Commodore's never-give-up-the-
ship spirit will stand him in good stead in the years to come.
