DANIEL SMETS

                 bientot . . . sans fard.

                                     PAUL FRANCIS SMOLLIN
                 Basketball,  III,  IV,  V;  Chess  Club,  III;  Lacrosse,  IV,  Varsity,  V,  Letter,  VI;
Oceanography Club, VI; Radio Club, V, VI; Soccer, III, IV, Varsity V, Letter,
                 VI; Swimming, VI.

If Moses Brown ever had a johnny-on-the-spot mechanic it is
indubitably Paul. In his four year stint with the class of 1967, Paul
has earned quite an automotive reputation; one which had its
beginning when Paul appeared on the M.B. campus with a 1947
Lincoln V-12 which he bought for a handful of cash and later
restored miraculously to running condition. Paul has also earned
a name for himself as a hard worker on the athletic fields where he
has been filling varsity berths in soccer and lacrosse for two sea
sons. Less known, however, are Paul's talents in the afternoon chess
league in the boy's lounge, as well as his efforts in the Oceano
graphy club, in which he secured membership when he switched
from basketball to swimming in his senior year. Paul will always
be remembered as one of the class's sincere, dedicated workers
in whatever he undertook. With such abilities, he should travel
                far in the future.

                                    LINDSAY THURSTON STEELE

Camera Club, V; Cross Country, IV, V, VI; Winter Track, IV, V, VI; Spring
Track, Varsity, IV, V, VI; Outing Club, V, VI.
Lindsay liked it so much at Moses Brown last year that he be
came one of a select few who just couldn't resist coming back for
seconds. As a boarder, he was suspected of sneaking off to a
nearby Lemon grove on Friday nights; but not even the Gardener's
expert discovery could keep him from getting his drums to the
Venus de Milo for those wild one-nighters with a certain rock-n-roll
band. It is bruited about that Lindsay suffered from ill health
because of his frequent restrictions on "doctor's orders." Dis
abled as he is, Lindsay now can be found spending many of his
afternoons and most of his study periods madly spinning the studio
potter's wheel— hence the nickname "Mad Potter." As to the
future, Lindsay hopes to join the ski team at Nasson and pick up
any education that Moses Brown might have overlooked.
