Forged in the Fire is a phrase that not spend time with his father before his
only describes the College, but also the home going, but through that time Mr.

many of the trials that they and the
College have experienced. Dr. Arthur
Steele said, “ Our trials during the early
days were testimonies of the Lord's
faithfulness. He gave friends and funds
when we had neither.”
Mr. Robert Carver has many fond
memories of watching the school grow,
but it was not always easy. An especially
hard time for him was six years ago
when his father became seriously ill and
eventually passed away. It was difficult
for him to continue his classes and to

busy teaching several upper level English
classes to majors, as well as being Chair of
the Division of Arts. She has been with the
College for twenty-five years.
