LANGUAGE CLUBS
Contrary to the title, the language clubs do not meet
together. They do, however, have the same goal — to dis
cover things about the language they are learning and the
people that speak it.
At press time, all the clubs are engaged in planning
some sort of an activity. The Spanish club has just started
to raise funds. The money raised will go to a cultural ex
ploring trip to New York and a trip to Phila. The Italian
club will sponsor another Battle of the Bands and hope
for a greater success than they have had in the past. They
will also hold Bake Sales and other unannounced activi
ties. With the money raised, the club will give a scholar
ship to the senior student with the highest average in Ital
ian and hope to visit New York and some of the Italian
restaurants therein.
The French club is planning a trip to Canada and, of
course, will visit the restaurants up there. Hopefully, they
will manage a trip to France also.
