Commander Young Sgt. Francis Conway
The 53 cadets and the two instructors
participated in a most enjoyable and in
structive field trip to the Naval Base in
Philadelphia in December. The trip in
cluded a tour of the shipyard, visits to the
battleship USS IOWA, destroyers USS
CORY and JSS JOHNSTON, and lunch in
the Naval Base Dining Hall. The cadets
also visited Admiral Dewey's flagship,
OLYMPIA, at her berth on Delaware
Avenue.
As this book goes to press, other activi
ties are planned to raise money for the
Military Ball to be held in the spring.
Some of these activities are activity nights,
bake sales, and car washes.
