T here’s an obscure class listed in the
handbook of the Ralston High
handbook. Not many take it, but
those who do find it fascinating. It’s called
Principles of Technology.
There is a catch to taking this class: you
have to be here early (at 7:30 a.m.) to catch
the bus. Yes, you have to shuttle to Arbor
Heights to take this class and then shuttle
back in time for second hour.
The class has labs every other day, much
like the labs done in Physics class, but an
advantage to taking Principles is that it only
fills up one period whereas Physics is a
double-block. If you have a heavy schedule,
this may be the ideal way to get in some
Physics time before leaving Ralston High.
“I took the class because I wanted to take
Physics but didn’t have time,” said Senior
Mi Un Kim. “It helps me with my Calculus,
too, because a lot of math work is involved.
It’s been an interesting class, and it’s not
that difficult either. It was definitely uni
que.”
