Rthletic secretary Nurse Club’s Door Decorating Contest
and were judged on three main
things: originality, hard work and
the spirit of Christmas. The only
rule was that the teachers have one
class get together and work on the
classroom door. The prizes were
pizzas for every class that won.
Even though there hasn’t been a
contest before this year, Art Club

contests. “I thought there were a lot
of extraordinary doors,” said Ben
zel. “ It showed good school spirit
along with a good Christmas
spirit.” Cheryl Blue, a Spanish
teacher, said, “We participated be
cause our class wanted to.” Her
classes had themes for both sides of
her Spanish room door. On one
side of the door it was a theme for
Julio Igleasias, and on the other
M artha Nouak Cathie Palensky side was a Christmas tree made of

taco shells. She said she had her
2nd and 3rd hour Spanish classes
decorate the door.
According to Dan Crawford, a
freshman, it was a completely new
experience. “I thought the best door
was Mr. Benzel’s, it looked spec
tacular. I didn’t get to help, but I
think I would like to try door
decorating next year.”
