better known as the high
school cafeteria, for the
‘84’ homecoming dance
was defining it in a new
way.
The dance was
around a “50’s” theme, with
the Beach Boys’ “Be True to
Your School” as the I
song. A slide show exposin
the various aspects of ourl
school to take pride in was j
shown.
"We thought it (homecom
ing) was a more school
oriented dance, opposed to
prom which is more roman
tic,” said Bob Benzel,
coordinator of dance decora
tions.
The drill team became the
proud new sponsors of the
dance in order to raise funds
for their trip to Texas for the
Cotton Bowl on New Year's.
Lincoln’s “Splash” was the
band. Senior Brian Kehrli, on
crutches, and Joni Ost were
crowned the reigning king
and queen for ‘84’. The two
have been dating for several
