week  of  homecoming
                        festivities  defined  the
                        year  as  one  of  high
                        energy and excitement.
                        Breaking   traditions
                        was  the  key  with  the
                        traditional school pride
                        to  carry  it  through.
                        Instead  of  the  typical
                     “50’s"  days,  a  new  defini­
                     tion  of  the  student  of  the

                     “80’s”  was  introduced;
                     nerds!  The  idea  developed

                     from  the  summer  movie
                     hit,   "Revenge   o f   the

                     Nerds".
                       Mash  day,  gangster  day,

                     sweats  day  and  school
                     colors  day  also  graced  the
                     hallways  providing  an

                     interesting  view  during
                     four  minute  passing  per­

                     iods.  Wednesday,  Sept.  17,
                     led  the  sssspirit  through
                     Ralston  with  a  snake

                     dance.   Friday   finally
                     ended  the  week  with  the

                     Mock   Olympics.   The
                     homecoming game was full

                     of  activiity  with  balloons,
                     sold  by  the  cheerleaders,

                     released  during  the  first
                     touchdown and the myster­
                     ious  “Ram”  rallying  school
                                                    ^Attentively  Senior
                     spirit.  Hastings  might  have   Gail  Passmore  stud­
                                                    ies  in  class.  What  a
                     thought  we  were  a  bunch    nerd!

                     of  "Nerds"  but  we  got
                     revenge  with  a  final  score
