The Delhaas chess team offers a mental
challenge to everyone of its members. The
team participates in the Delaware Valley
Interscholastic Chess League. Each year we
have more pupils interested and eager to be
come members of this club. After hours of
practice, eliminations are held at Delhaas.
The winners of these games represent us in
league competition.
The boys standing have concluded their matches, and are now watching Dennis
Dunn of Woodrow Wilson and Julian Grauer of Tennent play the final game.
The winner of this match was Julian Grauer of Tennent.
Mr. Olu of Council Rock High School, and Mr. Jervis of Delhaas High School, watch the boys
play one of the final games of the tournament. It appears as though these two’ have reached a
"checkmate.”
