Basketball is one of the most popular of
/ the sports in which our girls participate.
Each season, approximately sixty girls report
for practice. After many liours of coaching,
two squads are chosen to represent Delhaas.
Throughout the regular season, the girls com
pete with all squads in their particular divi
sion. The excellent record established this
year proves that "practice makes perfect.”

Great defensive action is displayed by Shirley
Pitts. She quickly attempts to recover the ball from
a Neshaminy forward during a game played at
Delhaas. Neshaminy was victorious.
Careful, precise shooting is just one of Pearline's accomplishments. It’s because of such excellent
performance as pictured here, the girls' games are supported by a large number of the student body.
