In the play “The Miracle Worker” Haile
Knott stars as a young Helen Keller. The
drama tells the story of Helen Keller, a
young, wild girl who, though blind and
deaf, learns to communicate through the
hard work of her tutor, Annie Sullivan,
played by Hayley Jackson. The production
was heartfelt, impressive, and adored by
audiences. The drama department’s second
play, “Six Degrees of Separation” examines
human relationships and the mannerisms of
21st century society. The desire for wealth,
fame, comfort, social status, and interper
sonal connection is explored and criticized.
Ultimately, the audience comes to realize
just how overlooked the six degrees of sep
aration that hold us together are. The play
ran from January 20th to January 29th and
had outstanding turn-out as well as wonder
ful reviews from the audiences.
