performances this year throughout all of its tour­

naments and invitational events. Under coach Jon

Thorpe’s instruction, the debate team traveled to

places as far as Yale University, and also hosted

a tournament at O’Dowd. Debaters competed

in pairs to either support or oppose a resolution

which focuses on policies or values. This year

served as a key year in the development of the

team as it further established a strong name for

itselves and took home top titles at tournaments

across the country and within California.
