Cougars Overcome Flagler

Clearwater Christian College had three men score

over twenty points as the Cougars mauled Flagler 96-83

Pat Eidson scored 29 points, Larry Wiltgen 23 and

Kevin Fosbener 22 to help the Cougars rebound from a

41-40 halftime deficit against the Saints.

Norm Mason and Stan Adams combined to score S3

points for Flagler.

The 9-8 Cougars will host Southeast College Friday

night in an inter-conference game. Tipoff is at 8 o’clock.

Led by the high-scoring Pat Eidson and rebound man Jim Stadler, this

year’s Cougar basketball team enjoyed a most successful season. A constant

determination to win spurred many Cougar rallies, while faithful fans

screamed their encouragement from the sidelines. Captains Jim Stadler and

Pat Eidson, along with the rest of the team worked hard under Coach Ron

Brown and were rewarded with the knowledge that our best is better than

most. Each player tried to keep one thought in his mind throughout each

week of the season — “Christ above all.” They succeeded in being the right

kind of testimonies in front of the opposing teams.
