A lice (junior Karen
* * Coppersmith), a normal,
charming young lady, was in love
with Tony (senior Mitch Allen),
also normal and charming. But
Tony came from a sophisticated
family, while Alice's home life was
"different.”
During Act One of You Can't
Take It with You, Alice came home
and announced that she had a date
that evening for the ballet. When
Tony arrived, Penny (junior Laurie
Onken), Alice's mother, spoke of
marriage, and Boris Kolenkhov
(senior Wes Rogers), a dance
instructor, warned that the ballet
they planned to attend "stunk."
When the couple returned
home, the members of the
household took turns interrupting
them. Finally, Tony proposed. At
first Alice refused, saying that her
family was much too bizarre for
him to marry into; later she
changed her mind and agreed.
After planning a dinner so that
Tony's parents could meet hers,
Alice worked to condition her
family to a semblance of normality.
Unfortunately, Tony's parents
arrived a day early! The evening
ended with the whole lot in jail.
Finally, things worked out and
wedding plans were decided.

Caught off guard, Grampa (junior Tim Law-
son) addresses Mr. Kirby (senior Brian Adams),
Tony (senior Mitch Allen) and Mrs. Kirby (ju­
nior Gina Wozny) about their day-early arrival
for dinner.

An interesting pose for Mr. DePinna (senior
Dan Phelsp) to maintain while playwright, art­
ist, and mother, Penelope Sycamore (junior
Laurie Onken) paints him as "The Roman Dis­
cus Thrower."
