ollowing a split in the
F conference tournament, the
freshman boys' basketball team
finished its season with an 8-9
record.
"We played some of our best
ball in the tournament," said head
coach Gary Dubbs. "Towards the
end of the season, the team came
around and began to play more
discipline and more as a team."
The reserve boys' basketball
team ended with a record of 7-9.
"It was the best and most
productive season I've had," said
coach Ron Siske. "I think there are
definitely some basketball players
that are going to help Ralston."
Siske said that the team had
improved a lot this season in team
play, defense, and as individuals.
The JV basketball team finished
its season with a 2-14 record.
"We've played a lot of close
games, but we haven't had what it
takes to win them," said coach
Dan Meyer. "The last couple of
minutes have decided a lot of the
close games."
Their 76-74 win over Ryan was a
close game won in the last few
minutes.
Junior Jim Palensky, Most
Valuable Player, broke his wrist,
which hurt the team.
Meyer said that the sophomores
on the team definitely improved
and that next year would be a
good one for the JV team.
