The Moses Brown United Nations Club began the year by replacing
the original constitution, which had never been • annealed and thus
could not withstand blasts of hot air from the president, with a new
one. Parliamentary procedure thereby taken care of, the club used its
Friday-in-G meetings to discuss intelligently foreign affairs, despite
noisy interruptions from the French class next door. Moreover, the
club managed to get together a delegation to the Eighth E.C.M.U.N.C.
(whatever that is!) in Newburyport, Massachusetts; and in April seven
students and M. Pezet, the faculty advisor, spent three intellectual days
learning about international politics. In all, whatever its other ac
complishments may have been, the U.N. Club has successfully taught
its members how the United Nations works and how resolutions in
volving "widespread use” are written.
