Christian athletes face many different challenges. One is the challenge
of keeping their testimony. Some may face an injury which can mean the end
of their season or a time of rigorous therapy. Finally, an athlete has to excel in
his educational endeavors in order to compete. Maintaining the mind of Christ
is the ultimate goal in sports, as well as in other avenues of life. Romans 8:37
states: "...we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Through it
all, an athlete must learn to rise ABOVE ALL CHALLENGES.
