Growing up in a soccer

team's "soccer mom" was one of the leaders on
the offense.
She said, "We planned
several cook-outs and
get-togethers as a time
to get together and
relax. We had a dinner at my parents' (Dr. and
Mrs. Larsen), went to an Atlanta Braves game,
had a family weekend/cook-out, and had a
Christmas party. The girls enjoyed being to
gether and getting to know one another!'
The team was known not only for their perfor
mance on the field, but also for their unity off the field.
With new players, a new coach, and a new game plan, the
ladies persevered through many struggles such as injuries
and losses. Even with the stumbling blocks, the ladies
pulled through, making it to the Regional Tournament.
One of the main things that the ladies pulled for was
team unity. With nearly half the team being new players,
it was a goal to be achieved. The team took two road trips
which helped bring the team together even more. Alissa
Birchard said, "My favorite part about the road trips was / y

just the fun we had in the bus for eight hours, goofing off,
playing games, and telling stories. Road trips were always
good team bonding times." Jennifer Ramos added, "The y \n n a Lufkin played a key

mentioned how much they loved Mrs. Dixon's cooking.
