Traveling with the Music Ministry team for ten weeks proved
to be, at times, a test of faith. Josh Quinn said, "I received a call to
say that my grandmother had been diagnosed with liver cancerand
the doctors did not give her much time to live. I really wanted to
be there for her; however, I had obligations. I realized that all that
I could do was pray. Four weeks after we began praying, I received
another call to say that the doctors couldn't find a trace of her ever
having cancer. She was healed! What a great God we serve!"
For others, the trip held many new and exciting experiences.
Katie Bournival said, "There are a lot of experiences that are my
favorites; but if I had to pick one, it would have to be going to the
Anchorage camp the last week of tour. The counselors were our age,
and they were really awesome people who loved kids and the Lord.
They did as much for us if not more than we did for them. I have
a new perspective on and appreciation for ministry. I learned so
much about what it really means to sacrifice, and I saw how much
God can require of me."
The tour's end brought about mixed emotions for the team.
Katie said, "When the tour was over, we were glad to be going
home, but leaving was bitter-sweet." Spending time together in
such a fashion brings people closer together and makes saying "This summer was probably that somehow God would
