The love of Christ should control the Christian; but
many times that control is surrendered to people, pos
sessions, hobbies, entertainment, and anything else that
distracts from God's purpose. The team's series of four skits
dealt with some aspect of what people allowed to control
them when they were not fully surrendered to Christ.
Under the direction
of Dr. Melissa Cancel,
the team traveled and
performed in a variety
of venues. They went
to Maryland in October,
performing seven times
in three days.
The team learned
that God had complete control in their ministry. "I have learned that, if we don't Travis Freeburg diagnoses

On their trip to Maryland, a young man told them that their performance was
the most powerful thing he'd ever seen. In light of such response, Josh said, "The
Lord really used us in a mighty way-as much as the singing or preaching! I pray that
the team truly did impact the kids' lives." With God in control, the ministry of the
drama team was a great success.
