Although they joined halfway through the year, the new
students wasted no time jumping into the college family. As with
every college student, they were excited to see what the Lord had
in store for them during their time at CCC. When asked for their
reasons for transferring from another college or picking Clearwater
as their first college, the second semester new students brought up
such factors as accreditation and the school's openness about be
ing a Christian institution. Shaunte West-Ray said, "My decision to
attend Clearwater Christian College weighed heavily on the reality
that it is a small, accredited, Christian college. I highly respect the
fact that it not only offers me the opportunity to strengthen my
relationship with God, but it also prepares me for the real world by
providing me with an excellent educational background."
Several of the students cited very specific goals they hoped to
achieve with their future Clearwater degree. "Lord willing, I hope
to becomean English teacherand perhaps go overseas to China to
teach conversational English for a while," said Dianne Stewart.
Taylor Jensen, who joined the basketball team, said, "After col

education is what I want and need for my career."
Of course, no one has complained yet about CCC's location At 6'9" Taylor Jensen about his first impression of
