Inspire to LEARN
Keila Ramirez "I always loved music. I was raised
singing but never had the opportunity to have a teacher.
When I started working in a kids club, I was put in charge
of the kids choir. When I heard those kids—that opened
my heart, and I figured that GOD wants everyone to glorify
His name the best way we can. Trust me, those kids were
glorifying GOD with all they had, but I thought to myself,
'What if those kids had the opportunity to have someone
to teach them? They would be awesome!' So that's how I
was inspired to become a music education major!"

to train quality teachers who have a Christian philos-
of education and equip them with the basic knowledge
Rebekah Brownlie "I had a lot of experience working with kids
during middle school and high school. It was so rewarding to watch kids
mature spiritually, intellectually, and socially. Not only that, but I knew that
I had a part in influencing them. The most importantthing I have learned in
college is that I cannot get through a single day by my own strength. When
I was taking classes, it was easy to become overwhelmed with everything
that was expected of me. Kids are totally unpredictable-you never know
what a day may hold! Beginning each day with total dependence on God
is the only way to be totally prepared to deal with it."
Mr. Walt King "I enjoy each of the three stand-alone ESOL
classes. I enjoyed the Diverse Populations class last spring because
of the diversity within the class and the heated discussions that
we sometimes witnessed take place. I enjoy the Methods and
Assessment class because what the students have been learning
about English language learners, they are seeing firsthand in the
practicums in local schools and everything begins to make sense.
I like working with college students because of their vision, their
creativity, their high ideals, and the freshness with which they ap
proach the career they are choosing. The students at Clearwater
are polite, friendly, and fun to be with."
