The 1978-1979 wrestling season
has been difficult due to o lock of ex
perienced wrestlers. They ore oil leorn-
ing and improving their wrestling skills
rapidly. The Roms recently won, bock
to bock, dual meets over North
Cotholic 28-22 and Hamilton, N.J.,
38-18. In the North Cotholic Match,
Pins were recorded by Terry Sampson,
114 lbs., Joe West, 1 87 lbs., and Brion
Goodrow, heovyweight. In the
Hamilton West meet, the Boms were
led by Joe Settle, 105 lbs., Terry
Sompson, 114 lbs., Tom Cheddor, 140
lbs., Jeff Horris, 169 lbs., and Brian
Goodrow, heovyweight, oil whom
recorded pins. Currently, the Boms
hove o 3-8 record on the vorsity level
ond o 4-7 record on the Junior varsity
level. Two wrestlers with outstanding
individuol records on vorsity ore Jeff
Horris 11-1-1 ond Brian Goodrow
10-3-1. On December 22, both Jeff
and Brion won championship titles in
the Delhoos Christmos tournoment. At
Delowore Volley College, Jeff Harris
once again took the chompionship,
while Keith Miyamoto, Chuck Hill, Tom
Cheddor, ond Brian Goodrow placed
second.
