The key note of the year for the
varsity choir was their concert held on
April 3. Two pieces "W ood" and
          "Basket" were accompanied by Jan
          Bogardus, a music teacher at
          Meadows Elementary, on the oboe.
The choir also performed the "Crea
tion," "Corner of the Sky," from
"Pippin," "It Was Almost Like a Song,"
and "Song of Democracy," a poem
by Walt Whitman. Packing the various
choirs into buses, tours of the grade F ollowing the direction of music

The choir also was involved in the
          Bellevue East Invitational. The invita
          tional was designed for surrounding
choirs to hear each other perform
          without the tension of competition.
Elections were held early in the
year and officers for the 83-84 year
were senior Scott Buck and junior Chris
          Thackray secretaries, junior Brad King
          librarian, and junior Cory Sanchez
          president.
"Being in choir has helped ease
the stress of a normal academic day.
It gives me something to look forward
to when I'm sick of adding and
          subtracting numbers," said junior Bobbi
          Farrell.
