A source of humor for an
upperclassmen is watching freshmen
romance bloom. Boy meets girl: "wuv-
twue wuv.” Some seniors can't laugh too
hard because several of them met their
"twue wuv" during their freshmen year.
After a few walks around the circle,
several meals together at Cathcart Hall,
and one or two heavily chaperoned dates
off campus, two freshmen feel destined to
be together forever — until something
happens and their dreams come crashing
down.
Broken romances, bouts with
homesickness, struggles with finances,
disappointing sports scores, or reprimands
from a teacher are some of the things that
hit a freshman hard, but all will build
character and prepare them for rougher
days ahead. The innocence and ignorance
of a freshman are things that a senior
remembers and longs to have once again.
David Eisenback takes a break during exams to
daydream about his "twue wuv" and Christmas.
