A Little Greek,
Some Italian, and
A Taste of Mexico
A new committee that added variety to student
life was the social committee. Its function was to
plan activities that would add some “spice" to
the lives of the students.
The first of the evening events was Greek
Night. The dining hall tables were decorated with
balloons in the colors of each Greek. Sitting
together as a group helped members become
better acquainted and showed their Greek spirit.
Realizing that some students could not go
home on weekends, the committee planned a
Friday night Moonlight Madness party. Cathcart
Hall was turned into an Italian pizzeria. Faculty
and staff, dressed in Italian garb and speaking
with “Italian’’ accents, prepared and served the
food and beverages.
