Doug Corum, a senior and three-year letter-
Head Coach Reno Pfiel man, bettered his own high jump record this
year and thus sets a high goal for the next
track team.
This spring proved another fine track
season at Ralston High. The team started
practice in the gym early in the year
while snow and weather prevented them
from going outside.
From the first meet at Omaha U. to
the last at Kearney the team continued
strong. Scoring high at Conference and
District meets and winning all duel track
meets and two quadrangular meets, one
against Wahoo, Cathedral, and Ashland,
and another against Blair, Millard, and
Papillion.
The team broke school records in the
high jump, pole vault, two mile relay
mile. With a strong returning line-up of
l e t t e r men and some strong freshmen
candidates, next year looks very bright
for cinder coaches Reno Pfiel and Ken
Peterson.
