Drill, Instruction, And Inspection
Freshmen receive a class on hygiene and first-aid from Sgt. Shervey. Following their
introduction to RO TC, first year students receive this course as well as classes in drill,
weapons and marksmanship.
Major General John Childs, representative of U.S.
Fifth Army, looks over the campus after visiting classes
and touring the school. Several inspectors, and the
annual Federal Inspection in the spring insure that
high standards are m aintained in the M ilitary
Department.
The FJonor Guard takes drills learned in class and adds its own touches. The
unique drill is fine representation of the Academy wherever this unit performs.
Informative manuals and teaching aids are a great help to Military Instruction.
