Graduation

Saint Thomas Academy held its annual Commencement Exercises
on Thursday afternoon, June fourth, nineteen hundred seventy.
With the usual traditions and diplomas in hand, the Seniors bid
farew ell.
In the Commencement Address, The Most Reverend Leo C. Byrne
spoke to the graduates about the advantages and traditions of Cath­
olic education in an era of turmoil and confusion. After the Address,
scholarships, honors and awards were announced by The Reverend
William H. Bullock and Mr. William Ridley. It was also announced
that the Board of Trustees had appointed Father William Bullock
Superintendent and Mr. William Ridley Headmaster.
After the Star Spangled Banner, the Seniors tossed their hats in
renewal of past accomplishments and glories.
