When asked to evaluate the golf season, Mr. Don Gerlach
replied: “ I thought this year's golf team performed as I ex­
pected it would. We had a number of young players on the
team, whom I feel played exceptionally well. With four se­
niors, three juniors, and three sophomores we had a lot of
depth which really paid off in the end.”
And the Academy golf team did have a fine season. With a
second place in Central Catholic Conference play, the
Tommies went on to capture the state golf title.
