Due to the fact that there was no gymnastics team last
year . you've come a long way, guys! Helpful were the
untiring efforts of Coach Fred Lewis, whose main philoso
phy is "winning isn't everything, it's the only thing!" The
team's key man is John Hogan who also happens to be the
Wilson Men's Gymnastics only all-around man on the team. Their quiet and gentle
coach has inspired them to a season of 11 wins and 5 loss
es, a great first-year record. Outstanding seniors are Ran

now District I Champ on still rings.
as women hold their own Mrs. Helen Cantwell's girls' team suffered gracefully
through a season of no wins, although several shining
stars glowed on the team. Dotty Quigley did a fine job on
the floor exercises, while on the beam Judy Uosikkinen
and Bev Lott excelled. Also, seniors jecy Pletnick, Dawn
Slater and Mindy Mihalik showed style and form.
