Fifty-nine new students enrolled for the

second semester. They consist of students

who are returning from time off, who are

transferring from another college, and those

who are just beginning their college years.

The completion of the wing on the men’s

resident hall helped to accommodate the

new male students.

New students quickly get involved in the

activities around campus, including joining a

Greek, playing intramural sports, joining a

club, and of course, studying for their

classes. It is always a help to know

someone on campus to help make the

adjustment to college easier. Heather

McClanahan concurs,“ It was so helpful to

have my sister here to help me. She

introduced me to so many new people and

she keeps me from becoming homesick.”
