It  is  my  philosophy  that  one  of  the  most
                                                                important  tasks  of  the  school  principal  is
                                                                to  know   people,  arid  especially  students,
                                                                intimately,  to  be  accepted  by  them,  to  be
                                                                a  real  friend.  M a n y   problems  can  be
                                                                so Ived  or  lessened  if  the  students  know
                                                                the  school  administrator  as  their  friend.
                                                                A fter  all,  schools  are  for  people.  T he  a d ­
                                                                ministrator  should  accept,  as  his  fu n d a ­
                                                                mental  task,  know ing  and  understanding
                                                                people,  especially  students,  so  that  they
                                                                will  look  upon  him   as  their  friend.
