Riverboat sing-a-long
■Steve Lauritsen and Derek Ahl on Post Prom Party: 3
Ahl: "Well, we were singing." Q
Lauritsen: "We were singing'Dao'. It was kind of crazy. Well, once
the first group went then everybody else jumped on the bandwagon CO
and started doing it. Otherwise, it was pretty crazy." m
Ahl: "They mostly had oldies to sing. They didn't have any real recent m
stuff. You had to pick from what they had. They (Lauritsen and Tony
Weber) had already signed up for it then asked me to go up there with ■ o
them."
Lauritsen: "We had to sing the whole song, which kind of messed us CD
up, 'cause we didn't know all the parts. We even got third place. We
got gift certificates, food certificates and a t-shirt."
Did you guys have a good time?
Ahl: "Yeah, it was all right."
Lauritsen: "I thought it was great."
Ahl:" . . . it was pretty original, really.
Lauritsen: "It kind of lagged on at the end, but it was cool."
Ahl: "It was something different than going to Brunswick. Mainly the
whole thing was singing, a lot of different people sang. It took a long
time; other people just sat around and listened. If they hadn't had the
singing, I think the boat ride would have gone on pretty long."
Lauritsen: "They had gambling, also."
Ahl: "We played Trivial Pursuit for awhile."
