                  The winter of 2009-2010 was
definitely one for the books. With
many holiday events canceled due to

weather, the year just didn't feel the

same. A total of five snow days and
one cold day meant the year was
extended for the whole school. Many

seniors, crushed at the news, had to
add two days to their countdown.

Bitter cold and blowing winds did not
help this "off" season. It was a morn

ing ritual of starting cars five minutes
before walking out the door and

turning the defroster on high. The
          Winter Olympics was back and
worked its way into many conversa

tions. Criss Cross decorations were a
huge hit this year with a Masquerade

theme. This season was also the first
time the thespians and choir students

          collaborated for a madrigical show,
          "Night, Night, Knight." The Show

          Choir performers brought home sec
ond place at the UNO competition.

          Home basketball games once again
were an important source of entertain

ment for students and many parents.
          With extreme temperatures, students

jumped on the chance to wear shorts
and flip-flops even if there still was

          snow on the ground.
